I've hunted with my encore for the last 3 years in Maryland(not legal in Delaware in any season for deer). It's legal in Maryland and Pa. for all gun seasons for deer.(except flintlock ml in pa.)
Got one deer the 1st year-small doe at 40 yards. At that time I was using Black Mag 3 and 300 gr. Hornady XTP.
Now I am using Harvester Scorpion PT Gold 260 gr. with Buckhorn 209. Accurate out to 100 yards if I do my part and I suspect it will shoot well beyond that range. Just haven't done it yet.
You will notice in the pic something on the trigger-it's a Tyler trigger shoe. Gives much better feel of the trigger for my stubby fingers. Also have these on my Ruger SRH, my other TC frame, and Rem 11-87.
