Subject: Bill to Amend CCDW License fees
Rep. Adkins just state that that the Concealed carry license fee/term of license bill has been assigned # HB 258. It is not yet on the web that he thinks he will introduce from the floor on Tuesday.
Basically..... this will increase the FEE for a concealed carry permit..... BUT the term for renewal will be
extended AND instead of the individual having to get a passport photo and paying $15 and up for the phots(s), the courts would access the driver's liscense photo from DMV and save the permit holder. We would probaly see and increase of $1.50 + per year over what we pay now. The first purposal from the state would have us pay MUCH more. The state has been in a 'quandry' over permits when shown by a holder in the past. Holders have been detained until the prothonotary's office could validate the holder's permit, or if the holder looses or doesn't have his/her permit on them. This may eliminate delays (hours) as in the past when the holder had to sit while the state police ran records.
