Last week while scouting a hunting area I found a good spot for my tripod. It's on the edge of a corn field that has a creek and strip of woods to the east. On the other side of the woods(120 yards) is a soy bean field. A small pond is 60 yards to the south with a small road way entering the field 22 yards from the front of the tripod(overgrown right now).
Plan to use this spot in early archery and early muzzleloader plus the Oct. doe season. I'll either use my 44 mag SRH or my TC 357 Max.
Later I will add camo blind material and maybe cut some corn stalks to the sides of the shooting rail.
After corn has turned brown I will cut some shooting lanes where needed (not the stalk just some of the leaves). The shot to the south is 59 yards. The open area is a crossing area that is used all year long. The corn will add cover and they will cross during daylight hours.
