Default DE non-resident vs. resident permit

Ok, so if let's say I were to take a job in DE for the summer and live there for the summer but keep a permanent residence in MD too, could I have a VA non-resident carry permit and have it be valid in DE, or would I need to have a DE carry permit because I am a DE resident for the Summer?
Any code or statute citations will be greatly appreciated so I can start looking up and learning DE laws as I go.

You are not a DE resident unless you claim DE as your primary home state. If your MD address is your primary address then you are a MD resident and would be perceived as such by DE law. Owning or renting a property in a state does not necessarily make you a resident

Your VA permit (if current) is recognized by DE law so long as you are not a DE resident:

Keep in mind that open carry is also permitted in Delaware in most but not all areas.

Hope that helps.

Thats a good question, carrying concealed no one will know. As for open carry there's a resection on it, but CRI is working on it. I think

Sorry, http://www.caesarrodney.org/

it's a watch dog group that keeps an eye on Delaware Government. They went after the no gun policies at Delaware's four public housing authorities and it went a lot further the just public housing.

"It was never our intent to have guns at day cares or school buses or DART buses or any of the others," Booth said. "A simple courtesy call from the governor would have resolved any confusion about the bill."

Delaware State Parks Rules 24.3
It shall be unlawful to display, possess or discharge firearms of any description, air rifles, B.B. guns, sling shots or archery equipment upon any lands or waters administered by the Division, except by those persons lawfully hunting in those areas specifically designated for hunting by the Division, or except with prior written approval of the Director. http://www.destateparks.com/rules/

The next time I'm at Cape Henlopen I will stop in the Ranger's office and get clarification.
